Yes, I am sane.

My reason for creating a Clock Tower Fan Site is because unlike most Horror Adventure games I've played. This was a game which actually made you fear for your life. Unlike Silent Hill and BIO-HAZARD, you use your wits to survive and not rely on brute strength. Not many Horror Adventure titles embrace upon this actual method of survival. It's not like every day you can reach into your closet and find a loaded rifle waiting for you. Also the thought of a girl, no younger than 15 years old, firing a pistol like a pro is quite ludicrous. More the reason for me to adore what HUMAN has done with the Clock Tower series.

My obsession with Clock Tower started after I downloaded the ROM for the Super FamiCom version. I was visiting Aeon Genesis' website because I have downloaded their previous patches for titles such as Monstania, Live-A-Live, and Diable De Laplace. I enjoyed their work so I decided to try out this game they've completed called Clock Tower - The First Fear. What attracted me to download the game was their description, "You play as Jennifer Simpson, fleeing from the insane psycho killer Bobby Barrows..." Along with the screenshots, I was like, "Wow, this game looks really well made! I'll give it a shot!" I've never heard of the Clock Tower series, so I decided to give this one a shot because I love Horror Adventure games.

My very first Horror Adventure title was Hugo's House Of Horrors. I dunno why, but the story of a man named Hugo looking for his lady love, Penelope, in a Haunted House sounded interesting for me when I was 9 or 10 years old at the time. But that game did gave me the creeps! I always hated that room next to the kitchen where that brown dog comes in and eats you alive! After playing that game, I started to play other games in the similar genre such as Deja Vu, Diable De Laplace, Fatal Frame, Last Half Of Darkness, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Shadowgate, Silent Hill, Sweet Home, and The Uninvited.

Clock Tower had a factor which made me to believe it was one of the greatest Horror Adventure games ever. The Scissor Man personification, the creepy music that plays whenever you're in danger, the original cast of characters, the multiple Endings, that fear from running away from the killer, the mystery behind the Burroughsclan, how I abuse my brain thinking of methods of survival, and that mix of hype with anxiety. Clock Tower covered everything I loved and some more! Man, who couldn't love a girl like Jennifer? A shame I had to use three walkthroughs to help me finish the game!

After playing CT SFC, I just HAD to buy the American release of it for the PlayStation. I was lucky enough to find it in Delaware for $9.99 at Electronics Boutique. It was just great to see Jennifer grown up, see the Scissor Man back in action, and seeing Jennifer help conquer evil with new friends. You could say that I love Clock Tower USA, but not as much as the SFC version. It's a shame that I had to use a walkthrough to get myself through the game. *sighs* I'll never forget that Scenario 3 creeped me out the most.

After CT USA, I knew I had to buy the sequel, Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within. Of course, like everyone else, I first read the reviews for the game. It was surprising to see how many people have bashed, frown, groaned, and complained about this game. Each talking about how weak the storyline was, how it was ripping off Resident Evil, and that there was no Scissor Man. [Though most of them did agree that Bates was awesome.] But did that stop me from getting this game? NO WAY! So what if Scissor Man wasn't in it? So what if it was a "RE-Ripoff"? So what if Jennifer was replaced by a schoolgirl with an alter ego? I DON'T CARE! It did took me well over 8 months to acquire a copy of it! [I should thank my sister for finding it at EBX of New Jersey for $9.99!] I was ecstatic, I couldn't wait to play it for myself to see if the reviews were true. After watching the opening movie, I fell in love with Alyssa Hale. She was adorable, poor her to have a cruel alter ego named Mr. Bates. I felt that the storyline wasn't so bad, maybe because I never play the RE series. Unlike my previous experiences with the CT series, I didn't used a walkthrough at first and had to use my own brain to get the Endings. I figured out Endings G, J, L, and M on my own. Eventually I resorted to a walkthrough to get the rest of the Endings. In short, I am one of the few that actually likes CTII-TSW, and anyone who doesn't agree that Bates in one of the best characters needs to get their heads examined!

After that, I was crazy enough to buy Clock Tower 2, Clock Tower Ghost Head, Clock Tower 3 USA, and Clock Tower 3 JPN. But I won't rant about them because you get the point -- I love the Clock Tower series!

Then it came to the point after I finished CTII-TSW which I wanted to create a Fan Site for this series. It was too tempting to not resist as that there weren't many CT Fan Sites out there. And I wanted to show out everything I know and love about this game. I am very proud of what I have put into this Fan Site and I hope you guys enjoy it as well!
