~ introduction to clock tower ~

Clock Tower is a Horror Adventure story set in Norway, 1995; a journey one young girl soon won't forget...

Raised in the Granite Orphanage, Jennifer and her three friends were wanted as adopted daughters.

It happened in September...

"Rolla, hurry up!" cried out the red-haired Lotte, a 14 year old girl who was Jennifer's close friend. She lifted up her suitcase and huffed, "We want to be there before sunset!" Behind Lotte trailed a blonde girl the same age as Lotte, Rolla. She wanted to take her time before meeting their new foster father, Simon Burroughs. Ahead of them was Anne, a brunette who was a year older than her peers.

The three girls were following Jennifer Simpson, a raven-haired girl of 14 years; who was walking next to their teacher from Granite Orphanage, Ms. Mary. They were all excited because Ms. Mary was the person who suggested Mr. Burroughs to adopt the four.

While walking, Jennifer looked up at her teacher, "Ms. Mary?" Ms. Mary turned to look at Jennifer, "Yes?" Jennifer, being curious, asked her, "From now on, what kind of place will we be living in?"

Mary chuckled at the question, "That's the fifth time you asked!" She assured the child, "Don't worry. It's a very nice place."

She then pointed out to where a huge mansion was seen amongst the trees, "We're almost there. See?"

Soon afterwards, Ms. Mary lead the four anxious girls inside the Burroughs' House while she locked the front door. Anne and Rolla settled themselves on the chairs by a coffee table, while Lotte rested against a hall chest. Jennifer was still following Mary as she was trying to make a good first impression. Rolla was amazed as she looked around her new home, "What a huge place..." Anne nodded in agreement with her good friend, "Yeah! The main hall's gigantic!"

"I gotta go get Mr. Burroughs." Mary told the children as they were admiring their new surrounding.
"Everyone wait here." She then left the girls alone at the entry hall.

Jennifer turned to Anne, "Hey, Anne... ?"
Anne, knowing that look on Jennifer's face, replied, "You want to know what kind of guy Mr. Burroughs is, right?"
"Yeah." Jennifer answered shyly.
Jennifer hoped their new foster father would be a warm and kind-hearted gentleman.

As Jennifer approached her, Rolla asked, "What is it... ?"
Jennifer can sense the anxiety from Rolla, "Is something wrong?"
Rolla shrugged it off, "This house makes me uneasy..."
Jennifer thought that this was probably Rolla's natural instinct reacting.

Jennifer walked over to Lotte who was getting nervous. "I doubt I'll ever get used to this place."
A puzzled look came across Jennifer's face.
Anne started to laugh at the worrywart, "Heh, Lotte's paranoid." to which Lotte looked down in embarassment.
There seems to be quite a bit of tension in the air about this new place.

Few minutes have passed and it's starting to take it's toll on the girls...

Rolla was now starting to worry like Lotte is, "What happened to Ms. Mary?"
"Mary... she's taking a long time." Lotte said to herself.
Deep down, Anne was just as apprehensive as the rest of them, but she kept her cool. "Hey, can you go find Ms. Mary?"
Lotte turned to look at Rolla and Jennifer, "Should I go find Ms. Mary?"
Jennifer shook her head, "No, I'll go look for her."

Jennifer entered the first corridor and then heard a scream coming from the room behind her. Jennifer felt chills down her spine, "!? The main hall..!?" She ran back into the room to see no sign of her friends, not to mention that the lights in the House suddenly turned off. Was this some kind of cruel joke? Jennifer scoffed out at her friends trying to pull a prank at this time of day, "Girls...? C'mon, this isn't funny...!" There was no reply.

Jennifer felt uneasy, this was no game.
Where is Ms. Mary? Where are the girls? Where is Mr. Burroughs? Could it be that...?
