are the answers to the questions you may have. If you

[how
many versions of clock tower are there?]
» There are four versions of this game. The
original was for the Super FamiCom, which spawn the
PlayStation remake, Clock Tower ~The First Fear~. Then
came the Windows 95 version, which had the elements of
both the SFC and the PS versions. And lastly came Clock
Tower for WonderSwan, which is supposed to be a
black-and-white version of the PS version.
[what's
the best version of clock tower?]
» In my opinion, I would say the Super FamiCom
version is superior. While the PlayStation version
certainly has the new events and FMVs, the overall
slowdown time and the graphics really doesn't score high
in my book. But if there is a version which has the SFC's
graphics; the PS' music, events, and FMVs; and the
Win95's FMVs as well -- it'll be a hit with me!

jennifer simpson based on jennifer connelly?]
» Yes. HUMAN was influenced by Dario Argento's
film, Phenomena, which stars the young Jennifer Connelly
playing as Jennifer Corvino. Obviously the name Jennifer
was kept for Clock Tower, but the surname obviously
changed.

rolla, and the burroughs? i thought it was ann, laura,
and the barrows!]
» When Aeon Genesis translated Clock Tower,
they basically borrowed the Barrows spelling from the PS
version. AGETEC most likely did not realize that HUMAN
intended to the spelling to be Burroughs as shown in
their Clock
Tower 2: Capture Guidebook. Also Aeon Genesis decided to translate the
names to Ann and Laura; when in Clock
Tower ~ The First Fear ~: Perfect Guide and in Clock
Tower - The First Fear -: How To Obtain Victory, their names are spelt as
Anne and Rolla. Anne and Rolla are the intended official
spellings, while Ann and Laura are fan translations of
the names.

the names bobby and dan short for robert and daniel?]
» Unless HUMAN states otherwise. Bobby's full name
is not Robert Burroughs, nor is Dan's full name Daniel
Burroughs.
[does
anne, lotte, and rolla have surnames?]
» The only friend to be given a surname is Rolla,
who she was given the surname of Harrington in the Clock
Tower 2 Adventure Novels. Other than that, none were
given surnames. Any surnames you may have seen or heard
are given by fans of the series. Such as Dbzlover121a has given the surnames of
Ann/e Menolly, Lotte Edwards, and Rolla/Laura Michaels;
while PacManFan4EVR has given the surnames
Ann/e Palmer, Lotte Andrews, and Rolla/Laura Marin.

lotte male or female?]
» Female.
[can
any of jennifer's friends be saved?]
» Yes, you can save Anne or Rolla in the S Endings.
You can never save Lotte, sorry.
[i
heard that dan gets reborn, is this true?]
» Yes, in the PS version, Clock Tower ~The First
Fear~. After you have successfully killed Dan and escaped
from the Underground Cave, you will be welcomed to a new
event not shown in the SFC version. You will see a young,
skinnier version of Dan emerge from the corpse of his
former self. Most likely this scene was made when HUMAN
had the idea of the sequel, Clock Tower 2, in mind.
[where's
edward? i don't see him in this game!]
» While Edward in Clock Tower 2/USA does state that
he is a survivor of the "Clock Tower Murders",
there is definitely something fishy about his story. The
only survivor we see throughout this game is Jennifer,
and there was never a time in which Jennifer ever
interacted with a character with Edward's appearance.
This spectulates that Edward really isn't what he's
cracked up to be, as you will see later in the Endings of
CT2. Perhaps HUMAN was aiming that Edward did escaped the
Burroughs' House before Jennifer arrived, and he was one
of the unfortunate children lured by Ms. Mary.
[who
are the 10 people barton stated that died in the
"clock tower murders"?]
» We don't know what Barton meant by stating that
there was 10 victims in the "Clock Tower
Murders". Here are the listing of the people we do
know that have died in the Burroughs' House, if we were
striving for the A Ending:
01.) Bobby Burroughs
= Found his body in the Clock Tower.
02.) Mary Burroughs
= Found her body in or around the Clock Tower.
03.) Dan Burroughs
= Found his remains in the Underground Cave.
04.) Lotte =
Found her body in the Underground Cave.
05.) Walter Simpson
= Found his body in the Secret Compartment of the West
Wing.
06.) Anne =
Found her body from one of her many deaths.
07.) Rolla =
Found her body from one of her many deaths.
08.) Simon Burroughs
= Found his body in the Courtyard Shed. Most likely he
would die from starvation.
» Now the rest is unclear. Some readers and myself
have compiled this list of the last two victims:
09.) Mummy =
Found it's body in the Collection Room of the West Wing.
Could they have counted it as a victim since it was
human?
10.) ??? = There
really isn't anyone left!
The final two doesn't make much sense, but there is no
one else in the game we know of. Unless Barton have heard
wrong or the Granite Orphanage fabricated a story about
Edward. And stated that he and his two friends were
victims of the "Clock Tower Murders", but he
survived. I actually have no idea who the last two
victims are or one if the Mummy was indeed counted as
one! I doubt they would count the parrot, cockroaches,
crows, cats, and doberman as victims...
