Some have said that Rolla was hanged by the Scissor Man. To me, the word "hanged" is such a broad term; it doesn't explain HOW she was hung to death. She obviously wasn't hung from her neck which would be the most logical death. We see that her hands were tied up and the only thing Rolla would suffer from it is rope burns around her wrists; no one can die from being hung by their hands. So until I hear a better explanation about her being hung, I will dismiss this claim. Then I have heard that Scissor Man choked Rolla, but it still doesn't make much sense to me. If Scissor Man did choke Rolla, why would he even bother with doing the task of filling the bathtub full of water, typing her up by her hands, and hang her up over the showerhead? All that when she's already dead from being choked to death... it doesn't match much with Bobby's behavior with his victims. If we considered that the killings Bobby did were of Anne on the skylight, Anne in the Courtyard pool, Rolla in the shower, and possibly Anne falling out of a window from the second floor. [We know that Anne and Rolla being thrown off the railing was caused by Mary, Lotte being shot by Mary's shotgun, and quite possibly Lotte's death in the Underground Cave and Rolla's armor death in Secret Room 1.] We see that Bobby just likes to get the job over and done with; he didn't cut Anne's hair when she crashed from the skylight, so why would he bother choking Rolla and give her a bath? Another death which seems plausible would be that Scissor Man drowned Rolla. Now how can she drown if her face isn't even IN the water? And if Scissor Man did displayed her body for Jennifer to see, it just does not seem to be his style. Most of the killings he does, we see that he usually doesn't move the body at all. Like I explained about with his work on Anne and Rolla, it just doesn't suit for him to drown Rolla and hang her up as a sick trophy. If he were to drown her, he would've left her head stuck underwater and pulled the shower curtains over to let Jennifer witness the horror later. If I am wrong with the style of Scissor Man's killings, this is a very plausible theory about how Rolla died.
